We arrived safely in Toronto, late Sunday afternoon. Temperatures were sweltering in the 90s with a humidex taking them over the century mark. You’ve got to love this country – cold in the winter, hot in the summer, but always beautiful.
I type this at our summer place on an island in Lake Simcoe where I have very slow dialup internet access. It’s amazing what we get use to – and how we miss it when we don’t have it – high speed access, that is.
Today will be a day to get the water pump working again – finish putting the marine railroad in and get our dock out. The standard joys of summer – even if we’re about six weeks behind in getting this stuff done. But of course, we were about 2100 Km (or 1250 miles) away until a few days ago.
UPDATE: The water’s working, the temps approaching 95 and the dock and the marine railroad will be finished in the cool of the evening.
