Boston

Boston001Imbi, Liam & I got into Boston around midday, yesterday (while Rylan was arriving in Santa Cruz, CA oddly enough.). We found a parking spot on Water St and then wandered around downtown. What a great city. I’ve flown into Logan a number of times for work, but I’ve never actually spent any time in the city. Imbi and Liam have been here before. We drove over to Cambridge and ended up spending way too much money on books at the Harvard Book Store – I finally bought Freakonomics and am already half done – it’s a great book and Cambridge is lovely.

Last night we caught up with our friends, Carol and Fred and spent the next 24 hours having a blast with them. The T is as clean and efficient as Toronto’s TTC (transit systems), and after wasting the morning away chatting, the five of us took the T to Park Street and wandered from Boston Commons to Faneuil Hall. It was 97 degrees in Boston and very humid. Not the best day for wandering – but fun no less.

A massive thunderstorm cleared the air around 6 this evening. We picked up our daughter, Kaili, at Logan – who arrived with some very good friends of ours from London. The Kinnons took their leave and we headed off to New Bedford. Tomorrow a young lady who has called me Canadad for many years marries a great young man – and the weather should be perfect.

Hope you’re having a great weekend where ever you might be. I look forward to getting the two posts I spoke about early this week on Love and the Responsibilities of the Led finished and up this weekend. Stay tuned.
