Toronto Guests

This weekend we had some good friends in from out of town. ‘Twas a weekend to explore our fair city and show them some of our favorite haunts. The weather enticed us with blue skies and unseasonably warm temps.

We spent part of yesterday on the Danforth – our old Toronto stomping grounds. If you’ve seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, then you’ve seen the Danforth – Toronto’s Greektown where much of the movie was shot. We had fabulous meals at Asteria – the best place for souvlaki and Greek Salad in Toronto. Owners George and Soula are like family to us and we take all our guests to their wonderful little restaurant.

Today we wandered the city and ended up in The Beach(es). Winds were up and the Boardwalk wasn’t particularly crowded – but Queen St had it’s usual buzzing crowds. A truly wonderful weekend with friends. This is a great city.
