A Little Link-Back Love

To Phil Gerbyshak’s Make it Great blog. I’m taking his Do Something NOW post to heart (and for my heart, no less.)

One of my biggest goals this year is to lose more than a few pounds by year end. I realize that I haven’t yet signed up to go to the gym, and I thought about kicking myself in the head and quitting, thinking that I will never reach my goal.

And then I thought of something…I am doing something NOW to lose the weight, even if it’s not exactly what I had in mind.
* I’m watching my portion size
* I walk at lunch 3 days a week

And I realized that I have already lost almost 20% of the weight I set out to lose this entire year, just by changing these 2 little things. I am coming to the realization that I just need to do something NOW! instead of waiting for just the right time to do something.

Go for it Phil – and I’m going to join you in the process. Let’s see where we are by the end of the year, eh? I love the Goethe quote that Phil uses,

“Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one’s thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.”

Note: Phil links to my Group Think post from earlier in the week.
