Incredible Immigrants

My country has been built by incredible immigrants. Whether those who came here via the Bering Strait Ice Bridge 10,000 years ago or those who have arrived here in the last six months. The problem has been that many talented professionals have arrived here and not had their qualifications recognized. Which has meant that cities like Toronto have some of the best educated cab drivers and support workers in the world – while the nation is starving for their gifts as Doctors and Engineers. But that seems about to change.
From the Canadian Press:

The federal Conservative government wants to work with the provinces to help immigrants have their foreign credentials recognized in Canada, Premier Dalton McGuinty said Saturday.

It’s about time!
