Comforting a Friend

What are friendships in this pixel generated world? Are they any less real than those in 3D space – where there is touch, feel, smell, taste? Perhaps, or perhaps they are just different. Disconnected from the physical, many of us seem more transparent.

Terry Heaton is a web-based friend I’ve come to both enjoy and care about. His wisdom and insight on communications in a post modern world have taught me much. His transparency about his life have been both challenging and endearing. He is one of the reasons I blog.

Terry’s 41 year old wife, Allie, passed away yesterday. There was no hint or expectation of anything wrong. No sense of time shortened. Only hope for years together.

Please pray for Terry.
