I woke up to a beautiful morning here on Snake Island. Blue Skies punctuated by high altitude cirrocumulus clouds. Fishermen in aluminum boats float a hundred meters off my dock. I can see them if I peer around a 23″ Dell monitor that partially obscures my window on reality.
In the past, I’ve mocked these fishermen. “What a colossal waste of time. I get my fish the way God intended…from the marketplace.”
This morning I envy them. The soothing enjoyment of a gently rocking boat. No worries other than catch and release. While I transfer files from Mac to PC. Worry about field interpolation of graphics (never mind, you don’t need to know) and wonder whether this project will ever come to an end.
