Free Derek Webb

Derek Webb is a favourite Christian recording artist of mine. I was a fan of his work with Caedmon’s Call and I’ve just downloaded his newest album…for free.

To move to the download process, Derek’s site asks you for five other email addresses to forward the information about the album to – promising not to harvest or sell the data. I believe him. When you’ve gone through that process you are directed to the download page that includes this line:

Now that you’ve saved $10 or so on a free record, consider giving it to some of these good people.

I visited blood:water and gave more than I would have paid for the record on iTunes. Nicely done Derek! And the album sounds great.
