Blog De-Freshening

In case you were wondering, I actually intensely dislike the name of this blog. I chose it whilst a senior employee of a mega-organization masquerading as a church. It was an attempt to prove the efficacy of blogs as communications tools. The name reflected my mindset at the time.

I’ve de-freshened the blog title bar. This is a short term effort whilst I decide what I’m going to do with this tiny corner of the interwebs.

UPDATE: Got shamed in the comments into changing the font. Decided to change the title too. There is a level of irony in that I hate graffiti – especially on stone or brick (on a painted surface it can at least be covered). Some idiot has tagged the brick on our 120 year old building. (Tagging is really like a male dog marking it’s territory – with about as much sense involved.)

Oh, and the shot was "borrowed" from one of Imbi’s Cambridge shots from last month whilst we were in the UK.

UPDATE 2: As I hate grafitti, I changed the title bar text to a cartoon bubble. Enough already!

  1. It looks just the same.

    Oh wait…

Wow. What a difference “Reload Page” makes…

    I like it.

  2. i dig the new header… but… Comic Sans????
    say it ain’t so

  3. ‘Tis Chalkboard oh typeface-breath. And it goes to the disdain with which I hold the blog name.

  4. haha.. fair enough. i dig your philosophical font selection then.

  5. Alright, in spite of my reason, you have shamed me, David. I’m changing the font. Or should that be “da font”.

  6. I laughed when clicked through my feed to see your new blog title. Anything with a question mark in the title gets the seal of approval in my book. I guess that means I must be weary of people being so sure of themselves all the time!

  7. Thanks, Tracy.

  8. I like it. Did I inspire you with my refresh? πŸ™‚ Blogs are like furniture – pretty soon you get bored and you want to move things around.

  9. Mark,
    You’re always inspiring.

  10. OK. I had to change it again.

  11. Love the new header Bill. ” Achievable Ends; me thinks thou doth jest.” Too funny, too true.

  12. I like it! I always did wonder about your blog title, since when I first meandered over here you seemed anything but “achievable-ends-ish”.

  13. Coming from the land of Old (original!) English, isn’t ‘doth’ 3rd person singular? Don’t you want ‘dost’ for 2nd person? πŸ™‚

    Yours pedantically,

  14. Maybe he hath a lithp.

  15. But, it hath been fixed.

What do you think?
