Packing for Home

It’s Monday morning on this Bank-Holiday Weekend in the UK and Imbi and I are packing to leave. We’ve been away from hearth and home for 23 days and we are looking forward to returning. We arrive in our fair city during rush hour this evening.

It’s been a good trip – both for production work and visiting with friends. We’ve caught up with good friends in both the North and South of England – with many hours of great conversation over great food and drink. (Thought the food didn’t quite match the conversation in the rest stop heading up The North where we caught up with Pete Askew two Thursdays past.) We’ve also shot over twenty-four hours of footage, interviewing a wonderful group of people and shooting lots of b-roll.

I’m looking forward to editing the interviews with folk like jonny baker, Bishop Graham Cray, Pete Atkins, Pete Pillinger, Jackie Cray, Martin Robinson, Colin Green and others. Much of this material will end up in an produced documentary, What is Missional Church? – sometime in the future. Other parts will show up in the leadership documentary Imbi is producing. ‘Twill be a busy spring and summer.
