Backyard Theater

Imbi and I met Vince DiPersio at Windrider Colorado in July. Two of Windrider’s co-founders, Will Stoller-Lee and Craig Detweiler had met Vince at the Breckenridge Film Festival where his film, The Big Question, won Best Documentary. Will asked Vince to show TBQ at Windrider Colorado – and after meeting Vince and seeing the film, Imbi and Windrider co-founder, John Priddy invited Vince to Windrider @ Wycliffe in Toronto this past September.

When we were all hanging out on the porch of the B&B where we stayed in Colorado Springs, Vince told us about the fun he was having with “Backyard Theater” at home in LA. He spoke of how the neighborhood got together in his backyard on Saturday night to watch films – and then just stayed around to talk. For those of us engaged in the missional conversation, you will find Vince’s comments interesting.

When Vince was with us in September, I grabbed a quick interview with him and one of the questions I asked was about Cinema under the stars. Here’s Vince’s response.
